5'9" Verdure Hybrid Twin (used)
Jack Candlish of Verdure is one of the most innovative board builders out there today that’s developed a strategy for building more sustainable surfboards that are incredibly light and absolutely rip. Tested by the likes of Stephanie Gilmore, Dave Rastovich, and Torren Martyn, these boards are presenting a truly performance oriented, more sustainable way to build shortboards. The bottom of the board is made from paulownia wood, the deck is made of a cork construction, and sandwiched between the two materials is an EPS core. The real kicker is that there is no cloth or resin on the exterior of this board! The paulownia is sealed with a hard, natural wax! That being said, there is resin and hemp cloth used to bind the EPS to the outer layers of its sandwich but it is a fraction of what you would find in your typical surfboard. This board excels in steep, punchy surf and fits well in tight pockets.
