7’0” Lovemachine FM

The FM is a modified tri-plane concept by Ryan Lovelace that blends multiple bottom contours for a versatile and unique ride. FM’s outline is similar to that of your standard egg, with a slightly pushed wide point and a slightly pulled in rounded pintail. The rails are moderately foiled and rocker is minimal but natural. The bottom contours consist of a flat entry that quickly transitions to a spiral vee the runs the length of the rest of the board, making this board an easy one to maneuver from rail to rail. However, extreme spiral vee can create a sort of suction against the wave, which results in a “tricky” feeling. Ryan has therefore placed a single channel in the back third of the board, breaking that water flow and creating a livelier ride from mid board to the tail. With a twinzer-type fin setup, this board is lively, drivey, and glidey!
