6'8" Andreini MP
Andreini's wait list for a surfboard is over a year long, a testimony to this legendary surfboard builder that we are so lucky to be working with. How is Daydream able to get surfboards from one of the most iconic California shapers? Our shop owner, Kyle Kennelly, used to be one of Marc Andreini's test pilots when he lived in the Bay Area to help Marc fine tune some of his lower volume boards. The MP is a prime example of a lower volume Andreini model. It draws smooth single fin lines with a more radical flare than his other designs. More nose rocker, a blend of convex and concave bottom contours, and an option for side bites turns up the shred factor here.
Channel your inner Michale Peterson (MP) from the iconic 1972 surf film, "Morning Of The Earth" to help yourself see what's possible here. It's perhaps the most rippable displacement hull / egg hybrid we've ever ridden. The model glides easily through soft sections and has the ability to turn off the tail remarkably well. Due to it's greater than average amount of nose rocker, this board is able to approach sections and critical parts of the wave with more ease than it's lower-rockered cohorts. In addition, the tail exhibits a spiral vee bottom contour coupled with a more performance oriented, boxier rail foil to provide a really energetic release through turns. If you're looking for a really shreddy single fin with glide, this is the board. Hand selected fins personally designed by Marc Andreini included.
