9'1" Keyo TPV
9'1"
Keyo is a new brand to our racks, but one that is deeply rooted in surf history. From the late 50s until now, Keyo has been serving the Sydney area as well as many other parts of the globe with classic and modern Australian designs. Names like Midget Farrelley, Bob McTavish, and Nat Young have been associated with the label, and we're so stoked to get a piece of that history in our shop!
9'1" Keyo TPV - Surfboard Details
The TPV is a proper vee bottom that looks nearly identical to the boards featured in Hot Generation. With a slightly pulled back widepoint, a stubby nose, and subtly pulled in square tail, this board screams mid-60s OZ. The rails are pretty foiled, and the rocker is super mild. The bottom consists of a nearly nose-to-tail vee that is actually rather extreme in the tail, but becomes tamer near the nose. This board banks from rail to rail with no hesitation, but requires an open face to wrap a complete turn. Regardless, it flies through lined up waves and feels completely different from most other boards out there.
