7'7 Andreini Serena
When comparing the refined models that legendary California shaper Marc Andreini has to offer you might feel like your splitting hairs because they're all good. The biggest difference between the Serena and Marc's most famous model, the Vaquero, is that the Vequero is a modification of a classic displacement hull while the Serena is a modification of an early 70's style single fin. What does that mean? Picture surfing from the early 1970's Witzig film Sea of Joy compared to the underground cult surf film Down The Line made by Hull Lord Greg Liddle. If that is still meaningless to you please look both of those films up and watch them. The main difference is the Serena has a much more pulled in tail that allows you to fit more easily into steeper parts of the wave and bank tighter turns, more inviting to the back foot oriented surfers. Hand selected fin personally designed by Marc Andreini included.
