7'4" Alex Knost BMT Mid-Length
Between recording albums, touring, going on surf trips, and running the Costa Mesa Conceptual Art Center, Costa Mesa's Alex Knost manages to squeeze in some time to shape some select sleds.
New from BMT this sled is a combination of a couple different design ideas we've been seeing from Alex lately. The outline reminds of us a stretched out Micheal Peterson template with some more contempory modifications that make the board look especially rippable if we do say so ourselves. The rails are gently foiled in the nose and tail while the mid-section of the board holds a nice amount of volume. The bottom contours hold a lot of interest with a scooped nose concave that leads into a spiral vee that runs the remaining 2/3 of the board. The board has a good amount of nose and tail lift that make this mid-length look very hollow wave friendly.
