Introducing the Satori Twin ~ this one is a summation of a number of influences and imaginings. Designed for sublime glide and versatility in wave face navigations. I spent a while with this thing in the bay… after fusing the entry template from the winged window tri fin with one of my go to dharma mid-length twins, while staring at the memory of aSean Stussy and an old Mike Oday Russell and imagining an integration of stussy and oday’s spiral v with child hood impressions of what I thought one of Maurice Cole’s Reverse Vs might be. This prompted an exiting journey in to deck foil in order to compliment the bottom contours throughout. Any ways, that’s just a little introduction. Satori ~ term for “awakening”, “comprehension; understanding”. The word derives from the Japanese verb satoru. In the Zen Buddhist tradition, satori refers to a deep experience of kenshō, “seeing into one’s true nature”. Ken means “seeing,” shō means “nature” or “essence”
