6'8" Alex Knost x Ryan Burch Movie Prop (Used)
Between recording albums, touring, going on surf trips, and managing the Costa Mesa Conceptual Art Center, Costa Mesa's Alex Knost manages to squeeze in some time to shape some select sleds. This one-of-a-kind collab between two of today's premier surfer-shapers is a highly functional stubby single fin that works in all sorts of waves. It has a wide point center, stubbed outline with a slightly pulled in and rounded nose, as well as a slightly pulled in, squashed, somewhat diamond-y tail. The rails are foiled and turned down but not extreme. The bottom contours feature a single concave entry to double concave to slight vee out the tail. Rocker is pretty natural, with nothing extreme going on, but there is a decent amount of curve to it. This board shreds through beachbreaks and reefs and loves to be pushed in juicy waves, however, it also glides through smaller surf, making this a great all around sled.
