Field Notes 06
Welcome to Field Notes 06 featuring some fantastic surfing from some groovy Gato Heroi cats: Bradford Walters, Evan Daley, Makala Harmony-Smith, and Robin Kegel. Kegel, the mastermind behind Gato Heroi who travels the world shaping some of the most sought after, high speed logs otherwise know as highly functional sculptural artworks. You can thank Evan Daly for the magically psychedelic, abstract resin art that you see these and so many other Gato Heroi gems sporting, that man can do some wonders with resin that perfectly complements the magical rides one experiences on these micro ocean rockets. Such beautiful boards should only be complemented with beautiful surfing such as that displayed by Makala Smith who's alway moving so smoothly and effortlessly across the wave face as well as her sled. Bradford's another trusty Gato Heroi ambassador, you might recognize him from Field Notes 5, he's the happy yellow bus driver who's always smiling considering he can fit a quiver of 30 Gatos piled into the back of his caravan. What's a better wave to display what these sleds can do other than Malibu. This running right hand point offers tons of excitement whether you're meeting new friends while weaving through the party of a multi person wave or taking advantage of an empty trim section. Thanks to Jack Coleman for making a great video for us to share with you we hope you can get one of these boards under your feet sometime soon.
