“Wish in one hand, shit in the other, see which one fills up the quickest”

"‘Wish in one hand, shit in the other. See which one fills up the quickest’—my
father’s favorite retort whenever I uttered the words, 'I wish _________.’ This
piece, a kaleidoscope of memories captured through my lens, embodies that
gritty wisdom. At the top, a NYC businessman and a giant Pikachu—a surreal
clash of the corporate and the absurd, a reminder of life's unpredictable
juxtapositions. The middle section transports you to 1996, where I wandered
with a tribe of Tallahassee hippies, immersed in freedom and rebellion, living the
gritty reality of our ideals. The bottom image, raw and haunting, is from a hotel
room the night after I saw my father alive for the last time, grounding the piece in
stark reality. It's a visual mind trip, tangled with the beautiful and the bittersweet.
