5'6" Spacetime Fish
Alrik Yuill is a seasoned Westside Costa Mesa local who's shaping bay and art studio is just a block away from our shop. He's one of the most charismatic and loving humans out there and it shows in his shaping as well as his surfing. This EPS fish is wide in the nose and flows back to a winged swallow tail. The bottom of the board is heavily rolled in the nose and transitions into a spiral-vee out the tail. The board also includes custom glass on twin fins and a center trailer all made by Alrik himself. Alrik Yuill also customized the board with some of his artwork under the glass on the deck and a little bit of paint over the glassing on the bottom.

The Daydream Research Center curates a selection of boards that are best suited for intermediate or higher skill level. The design attributes of these boards can be difficult for those with less surfing experience to enjoy. For surfers who are just starting out, we highly recommend learning on surfboards that are designed for beginners and are happy to help point you in the right direction to find shops that have boards available for your needs. We want to create the best experience for our members and align them with boards that complement their skill level.
Day Pass Membership - This is a walk-in offer intended for folks that are not in the neighborhood who would like to have access to boards from the Research Center quiver that are not reserved for the day they visiting. Boards will need to be returned within 24 hours and Single Session.
Monthly Membership - Monthly Members of the Research Center are allowed up to a 3 day holding period for each board. Ongoing files will be kept to document the experimentation process, this can also be used for custom board ordering through the shapers we work with.
Extended Membership - Members have the same benefits as Monthly Members and are allowed holding periods of 7 days.
