Andytown Indonesia Bali Kintamani Natural
Story: This coffee comes from Mount Agung in the Kintamani Highlands of Bali and is naturally processed (unlike most Indonesian coffees) to combat water scarcity. The farms in this area are organized through Subak Abian, a cooperative irrigation system that follows the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. This Hindu Balinese philosophy focuses on harmony between people, harmony with nature and spiritual harmony.
Roaster’s Notes: Strawberry - Red Dragon Fruit - Cacao Nibs
Our Take: We think Andytown's notes are spot on! It's like funky strawberries and cream!
Roaster Background: Andytown Coffee Roasters was founded in 2014 by baristas Michael McCrory and Lauren Crabbe to bring specialty coffee roasting to the Outer Sunset in San Francisco.
They now have 3 locations in the Outer Sunset and another downtown. Their goal is to create good jobs for the neighborhoods they love. Their coffees mirror their vibes: approachable and fun.
We love that Andytown takes chances on coffees that others in the Bay ignore. They almost always have something from lesser-seen origins through Asia, Africa and Latin America such as the Philippines, Timor-Leste and Tanzania.
